The Juice on PATTERN Beauty

Y’all. I don’t even know where to begin with expressing and expounding upon my love for PATTERN by Tracee Ellis Ross. Tracee!! Girl, you did your thing with these products. Period.

Back in October, CurlBox brought back their PATTERN Beauty Box to celebrate Tracee’s birthday with 4 full sized products in addition to 2 hair tools for only $20. I repeat, twenty-dollars. I could not miss this deal to try PATTERN products, as I’ve had my eye on trying the brand for awhile.

Firstly, let me give you a little insight on my hair. I would place my hair in the 4C category, as it is tightly coiled and coarse. My hair is also very, very dry. In order for my hair to flourish, it needs a lot of moisture added. And baby, this line is moisture packed - including ingredients like Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Coconut Oil & Honey in the Hydration Shampoo. I’m not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical at first if the products would work for my hair, as my hair type differs from that of Tracee Ellis Ross’, however there are products for the kinky coily community as well - catering to curlies, coilies & tight textures.

The PATTERN Beauty CurlBox included the Hydration Shampoo, Medium Conditioner, Leave-In Conditioner, Jojoba Oil Hair Serum, Shower Brush & Hair Clip. After receiving my CurlBox, I made an Ulta run to also pick up the Styling Cream, so that I could wash and style my hair with all PATTERN products.

Three Day Old Two Strand Twists, Freshly Unraveled

Y’all, I have found my holy grail staple products to add to my hair care regimen. It’s been a long time coming with finding a line that adds this level of moisture to my hair that I absolutely love! My hair felt so soft and juicy after cleansing and conditioning. My hair was clean without the stripping “squeaky clean” feeling. It was hydrated, moisturized and smelled divine. The products are fragrant but not over-powering, ranging in various floral notes and essential oils. The Leave-In melted right into my hair, helping the Shower Brush glide right through my kinks. I did a two strand twist out with the oil-rich Styling Cream containing Shea Butter, Cacay Oil & Sweet Almond Oil - and the curl definition was poppington. I usually lose a lot of definition once I separate my twists and fluff - however, nope, not with PATTERN. I’m really amazed.

If you haven't had the chance to try PATTERN Beauty yet, I urge you to give the brand a try. Especially if your hair is parched and needs a good quenching. Your curls will rejoice! PATTERN is black owned and black founded. PATTERN products help support organizations & programs that empower women & people of color. Yaaaasss! Come on y’all! You can purchase PATTERN products at patternbeauty.com or at your nearest Ulta Beauty. PATTERN offers a few other products I’d like to try - like their edge control and hydrating mist. PATTERN also offers mini sizes, how cute.
